Very-high capacity load testing of generators or electric dynamometer testing of large engines and turbines is achieved with the Simplex Trident Load Bank. The unit capacity range of the Trident is 150KW-1250KW, resistive, unity power factor. The Trident may be used singly or in systems of multiple units which yield total capacities of tens or hundreds of megawatts. Pictured is a 2000KW system (two Tridents) with customer specified paint. Reactive units (inductive or capacitive) are also available.
The Trident is a single or dual voltage Load Bank suitable for all common 50-60-400 hertz voltages up to 600V.

Connections
• | Control Wiring: 105°C, color coded. |
• | Power Wiring: 150°C XLP color-coded. |
• | Cables connect to full rated copper bus bar with an oversized terminal junction box. |
• | Cables connectable through top or bottom of chassis. |
Enclosure
• | Type 3R weatherproof power section, including load elements and cooling fan. |
• | Type 3R weatherproof control section, thermally and electrically isolated from resistive load power section. |
